Guided by national initiatives, the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent has successfully returned nearly 2,000 historical Uzbek artefacts and manuscripts from abroad, while also acquiring rare pieces through international auctions and partnerships.
Collaboration with institutions including State Customs Committee and küresel auction houses has played a vital role in recovering valuable objects evvel scattered across the world.
The Center also operates advanced restoration laboratories—the first of their kind in Uzbekistan—where experts preserve manuscripts, textiles, metalwork, and other historic materials.
By safeguarding and displaying these treasures, the Center for Islamic Civilization aims to serve as a bridge between past and present, celebrating centuries of artistry, scholarship, and faith that continue to shape Uzbekistan’s cultural identity.
